An Opportunity To Fail

Romans 8:28, Ecclesiastes 3:1-10

The first victory you ever won was when your father's sperm fertilised the egg that became you in your mother's womb. You won over all the others. You were successful, you never knew what failure was.

Unfortunately, many were born the same day as you but died minutes, hours or days later. Some never even got the chance to breathe—They were stillborn but you my friend beat all the odds. You prevailed.

Growing up, you have had some success stories and some failures. For some people, the failures outweigh the success stories and these people may see themselves as being programmed to fail more than they are to succeed thus allowing themselves be drowned in the river of depression and defeat.

What if you start to see failure as an opportunity? What if you start to see failure as something to be grateful for?
I know nobody plans to fail but you know not everything you wish for will come to pass—The only time all you wish for will come to pass is if your wishes align with the will of God.

You may want to buy that beautiful house, that beautiful car but you end up failing to because of one constraint or the other. You may want that relationship to work out, you may want to get that job, you may want to have a baby but you don't get your desire because of circumstances beyond you.

Be open to look at failure in another light.
Imagine with me as you read—Go back to the theatre or place where your mother had you. See other babies that never made it. See those that got flushed away even before becoming fully grown babies. See those that left when they were barely few weeks old but you on the other hand has had the opportunity to breathe. You have had the opportunity to be breastfed, to be fed, to giggle, to meet good people, to meet bad people, to laugh, smile, cry, sit, crawl, walk, run, sleep, wake up, have siblings, get into fights, be known, be loved, be hated, be denied, be betrayed, be hurt, to fail that exam, be well and be sick.

So you see my friend, a little failure here and there is not something to be depressed about as it cannot stop you. It only shapens you because most times it is at the place where we fail that we sow the seed of success.

Be grateful for your failures because it is an opportunity, a privilege in disguise. And according to Ecclesiastes 3:1-10, no season lasts forever. So your failures will not last. Be at peace and thank God for where you are, whether in success or in failure because all things work for your good.

Keep loving Jesus Christ.
