This Kind of Love

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
As a believer, majority of the time we are faced with temptations that dare to; pull us from faith, stop us from having hope, hinder us from holding on to God and as a result of this, we complain, we regret, we lose faith, we think of how we would have been where we ought to be now. Our desires keep us complaining instead of being thankful for wherever and whatever we find ourselves in.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.
When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you. Isaiah 43:2

The Bible informs us of tough times from the verse above and leaves us with the assurance that we will not be consumed by it. Tough times might look like it would last forever...When you walk through the fire... But it actually would not. You can even see that by looking at nature itself. Only God never changes every other thing does. He is I AM.

While walking through the fire, God promises to be with us. He says, Fear not: for I am with you... Isaiah 43:5a

In that situation, remember God as Elohim. He began it all. Remember Him as Adonai, the One who is in charge. He is the Boss. So dear friend be encouraged and stop bothering about your life as if you are the one who set the plan in motion.

“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34

These are the words of Jesus Himself. Who would you rather listen to? Your situation? External opinions? Your negative thoughts? Or Jesus the Author and the Finisher of everything?

He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its timeEcclesiastes 3:11a

As a believer, rest in the leading of the Saviour knowing there is a reason for everything.

A case study is this week when I stopped at a bus station thinking it was the usual one I stop at because it looked so familiar. After walking about 19 minutes without getting home, I knew something was wrong and this was when I realised I had missed my way. I was exhausted and almost complained but I remembered that all things work for my good because I love God and I am called according to His purpose. With a little help, I was able to find my way. The next day, I had something really important to go do in exactly where I got lost yesterday! Hallelujah! I realised I actually wasn't lost. God sent me ahead of tomorrow. The place wasn't a mystery to me. I got there even before time. You see how God goes ahead of His beloved?

Why not rest in the love of Abba, because He is really looking out for you ahead of time. He knows tomorrow and He does well to represent your interest in it.

Adonai loves you!
